Julia Fischer-Bernard
Julia Fischer-Bernard was born in Düsseldorf and grew up between Belgium and Mallorca. Even as a child she had a passion for creating.
She is fascinated by giving an object a function different from the one it was meant for. Giving an entirely everyday material a new dimension. Turning something ordinary into something special.
For her, art is not an ornament or decoration: it is the expression of a way of seeing life. An invitation to dare to go beyond the rules. To leave the marked path, to set off and to feel free.
Hans Fischer-Bernard
Hans Fischer-Bernard studied at the School of Applied Arts in Düsseldorf, where he trained in painting, graphic design, printing and photography. He later worked as an advertising graphic designer.
At some point he heard the call of the sea, of distant horizons, of sailors and globetrotters, from Africa to South America. He never stopped painting. On his travels he painted sails, lettered boats and tattooed people.
He has now been living in Mallorca for many years. He keeps painting. He paints what, for him, deserves not to be forgotten. His technique and style are unique.
